When You Step Out

I am sitting here writing this as I stand in a state of OMGness (is that a word, if it is not, well it should be). I am so very excited, because I have finally allowed myself to actually step outside of my comfort zone and just do the things that God has told me to do. I feel such a peace within and a connection with God that I cannot even describe. Just by me being obedient to God to create events for women and to even write this blog has caused many doors to open in my life. It is like my ‘one step’ out into doing what God called me to do, has caused a ripple effect of opportunity to open for me and also has caused me to feel very empowered.

I have allowed myself to walk in fear for so many years. I mean I have done things, but there are many things that I have not done due to the fact that I feared what would happen. I always would say to myself ‘well God wants me to do this, but what IF this happens’. I always had an IF statement to follow up what it was that God wanted me to do. I had so many things that I wanted to do in life and God has given me so many strategies to help me and my family walk in abundance and thus help others to walk in theirs also, but I most times I would hold back and over analyze things, which at times would cause me so much anxiety. One day, I just sat and thought about my own trust in God. Like, if I trusted God and believed that he cares for me and loves me and sent Jesus to cover all of my sins, then why did I always have an IF statement. This has led me to have some real quiet times with him and I asked Jesus to show me the parts of my life that I am not trusting him with. I have prayed that he helps me to give those parts over to him and to remove all of the fear that may be causing me to hold on to these things. I am receiving so much revelation from him regarding  this prayer. I am also amazed that I still was holding back with giving him control over all aspects of my life. I even had to ask for repentance. It has been a wild past couple of months as I have been walking through this journey. I am telling you ladies that something shifts inside of you when you just begin to step out and walk into what God has said to do.
